Other modalities such as Rockblades, Rocktape, Cupping, Dry Needling, and Flossing (Done as needed)
Dry Needling
-
Dry needling is a treatment that involves inserting very thin needles into trigger points and tight muscles.
-
Dry needling improves tissue healing and restores proper muscle function. Dry needling encourages your body to fix the injured tissues and reduce pain by naturally healing itself.
-
Dry needling helps to relieve pain and muscle tightness, improve range of motion, and speed up recovery.
Cupping
-
Dry cupping is done by applying plastic cup to an area that is dry or has lotion to allow for movement of the cup.
-
Suction is achieved by using a small, manually operated suction pump to pull the air from the cup when on the skin.
-
Cups are placed on painful or stiff areas and are left for anywhere from 5-10 minutes.
-
Patients may also be asked to perform active range of motion exercises while the cups are applied.
-
Cupping helps to decrease pain and inflammation, decrease tension, and increase circulation.
-
Cupping can be great for pain relief from injuries, as well as improve recovery!
IASTM
-
Also known as instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization is using tools like graston and rockblades to assess tissue quality and treat areas identified to have scar tissue, soft tissue restriction, or inflammation.

IASTM can help improve blood flow, assist in myofascial release, interrupt pain receptor to reduce pain, and improve flexibility.
-
It is a treatment option when treating issues like tendinitis/tendinosis, sprains and strains, plantar fasciitis, neck and back pain, post-surgical scaring
